Position Summary

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with strong experience in psychiatric medication management, and a background working in both inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment settings. This role is fully telehealth-based, providing virtual psychiatric evaluations, follow-up appointments, and medication management for patients with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth.
  • Provide ongoing medication management and treatment planning.
  • Monitor patient progress, response to treatment, and potential side effects.
  • Manage patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Follow CA state / federal regulations and organizational protocols.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in California.
  • Valid DEA registration
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in psychiatric medication management.
  • Experience working in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health or substance use treatment settings.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote care delivery.
  • Strong communication, diagnostic, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) for substance use disorders.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care.
  • Comfortable managing high-acuity or complex psychiatric cases.
