Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of clinical CT imaging experience and ARRT (R) and (CT) certification for an evening shift assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital setting in the CT imaging departmentEvening shifts, 4x10 hours, from 2 : 00 PM to 12 : 00 AM, rotating days with weekend rotationNo call requiredPatients include those needing both routine and advanced CT imaging proceduresUse of a variety of radiographic equipment, computers, and detectorsTravelers are first to float to other units or locations within the organization as neededPerform a wide variety of routine and advanced CT imaging proceduresSet up imaging rooms and utilize proper isolation precautions when necessaryParticipate in quality assurance, perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs, and address image processing and archiving issuesCollaborate with staff to triage and organize routine and emergent proceduresPass / fail testing required prior to start with strict criteria, including a telemetry examOne week orientation provided, with specifics communicated in the welcome letterWeekend and some holiday rotation may be requiredParking onsite requires a permit; alternative transportation options are availableFirst-time travelers may be accepted depending on the unitRequirements
Minimum of 2 years clinical CT imaging experience requiredGraduate of a School of Radiologic Technology required; Bachelor’s degree preferredState of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer required (license required if applicable)Certification in ARRT Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) requiredBLS certification issued by the American Heart Association requiredMust maintain an active telemetry competency per calendar requirementsTravelers must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the work siteLocals are not acceptedBenefits
