Job Title : HVAC Technician

Location : Charlottesville, VA

Position Summary :

The HVAC Technician performs maintenance and repairs on medium to large HVAC systems and controls. This role ensures high-quality service, safe work practices, and professional customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities :

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including RTUs, heat pumps, DX systems, and control systems

Complete preventive maintenance and inspections per service agreements

Document work using mobile technologies and follow customer-specific protocols (e.g., IVR systems, work order logs)

Maintain clean and professional appearance of self, tools, vehicle, and jobsite

Communicate work status regularly with service coordinators

Attend required meetings and training sessions

Adhere to all safety and company policies

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

State Journeyman or Master License (Required)

EPA 608 Universal Certification (Required)

3+ years of HVAC service experience

Familiarity with BOCA Code and OSHA regulations

Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

Customer-focused, self-motivated, and reliable

Flexible to work variable shifts, including nights / weekends / overtime

Physical Requirements :

Frequently lift / carry up to 50 lbs.; occasional heavy lifting up to 80 lbs.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders / stairs

Capable of wearing all required PPE

Work at heights and in varied environmental conditions

Pay : $35 - $45 / hr DOE

Work Environment :

Work is performed in commercial or industrial settings including rooftops, mechanical rooms, and outdoor environments with exposure to noise, chemicals, and moving equipment.
