About The Position

Job Title : Echo Tech Profession : Sonographer Specialty : Echocardiography Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Monday-Friday Hours per Shift : 8 Hours Experience : Minimum 3 Years License : Required Certifications : BLS, RDCS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI Must-Have : 3 years of experience; no pediatric experience; will accept first-time travelers; will accept duos Description : Department for Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer. Perform and analyze echocardiograms to assess cardiac structure and function. Prepare and position patients, ensuring quality imaging and patient comfort. Collaborate with cardiologists to assist in diagnostic interpretation. Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment. May be asked to float to other locations. Average number of studies performed is 7-9 cases per day. Department uses EMR - Cerner and Syngo Dynamics. Lead will supervise the department. No registered radiology assistants are used. Cardiologist is available on-site. RNs perform IVs; IV experience is preferred. Self-scheduling is not allowed. No weekend or holiday requirements. Clean and professional scrubs of any color are acceptable. All clinicians must clock in and out. Department-specific orientation includes 4 hours of CBT and 1-2 days with a preceptor.
