Job Responsibilities
The primary job responsibilities and performance expectations of this role will reflect the high level of care and customer service provided by Norton Healthcare. Provides training and development for new and existing ESD employees as requested by leadership. Your key accountabilities include, but are not limited to; serving as initial point of contact for all incoming and onboarding ESD employees, including associates, educators, and leaders, contributing to improved clinical and financial outcomes, resulting in better HCAHPS scores and improved reimbursements, assuring uniformity of ESD training and education across five adult and pediatric hospitals through initial staff education and ongoing development of all ESD educators facilitating employee retention and creating a highly-skilled, patient-centric, outcomes-focused frontline workforce.
Key Accountabilities :
- Initiates and maintains resources for necessary staff education. Cooperates with local facility supervisors and Human Resources, including staffing agencies if applicable, to schedule associates. Creates training agenda, quick reference guides, documents, practice exercises, and competencies to assure that associates are knowledgeable and able to reliably perform to system and DNV standards.
- Subject matter expert for assigned modules. Uses instructional design modes based on proven techniques to develop education and growth opportunities that are effective and efficient while maximizing retention, application, and enthusiasm.
- Leads local site ESD Educators and Senior Associates to assure that training records and competency assessments are complete per schedule to maintain system consistency.
- Establishes clear and effective goals and objectives that support NHC. Solicits regular feedback from attendees, leadership, and site educators. Reviews patient comments and feedback. Utilizes all relevant feedback to make appropriate updates to assure high reliability.

Required :
One year education and development, one year leadership experienceBachelor DegreeTrainer-Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (T-CHEST) and Trainer-Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician within 12 months of hire (T-CSCT)Desired :
One year performing essential experience in a healthcare setting.Master Degree
