Job descriptionDevelop and uphold professional, supportive relationships with clients and staff. Offer emotional support, encouragement, and guidance to clients and their families. Ensure clients' comfort and safety within the residential environment. Listen attentively, document client behavior, and communicate observations to clinical staff. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information at all times. Oversee and collect urine analysis (U / A) testing, ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR and appropriate sample disposal. Observe and document self-administration of medication. Keep a log of all medications in the Centrally Stored Medication Log and EMR. Assist with intake assessments and consent forms for clients. Conduct patient rounds every 30 minutes. Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, pulse, respiration). Perform contraband and random room searches. Lead groups, outings, and educational workshops. Transport clients to meetings and appointments as necessary. Provide crisis intervention to foster a healthy residential and working environment. Adhere to all relevant regulations and ethical standards. Engage in team meetings and training sessions when required. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with the philosophy and methods of the 12-step recovery model (AA, CA, NA, Alanon). Knowledge of professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality. Proficient in basic computer skills and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Understanding of referral processes, both internally and externally. Effective collaborator with the ability to communicate well with coworkers, clinical staff, and administration. Strong attention to detail along with excellent organizational and time-management skills. Current and valid certification as a SUDRC (Substance Use Disorder Registered Counselor) or RADTI (Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician). High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting. Current CPR and First Aid Certification. Successful completion of all Pre-Employment Requirements, including criminal background clearance, drug testing, and health screening, is mandatory prior to employment.
