Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med-Surg RN with a NM or compact license and recent travel experience for day shift assignments.

Responsibilities Hospital-based Med-Surg unit setting

Day shifts from 0650 to 1850, three 12-hour shifts per week

Floating required between departments and locations within 20 miles

Weekend and on-call coverage may be needed

Uses Epic EMR; on-site training provided if needed

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process for a designated group of patients

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate patient care with patients and families

Responsible for clinical supervision of LPNs and assistive personnel

Basic cardiac arrhythmia testing is required during orientation for some specialties, with one retake allowed

Returning employees must wait one year after previous employment to be considered

Age-specific and procedure competency testing is required per unit standards

Requirements Active NM or compact state RN license required

BLS certification from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required

Minimum two years of current Med-Surg RN experience required

At least one previous 13-week travel assignment required

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required

Epic EMR experience preferred, but not required

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local applicants not eligible
