Pay : $30-35 / hr. includes 10% shift differential
2nd Shift : Mon-Thur (4pm to 2am); OT available on Fri & Sat on volunteer basis
Summary :
- Machinists set up and operate one or more of the following machines : CNC Vertical Machining Center and CNC Horizontal Boring Mill and produce precision parts for Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Paper Industries.
Experience with the following machines is highly beneficial :
Yama Seiki Horizontal Model BL3018S with Fanuc 18i-MB ControlsG&L Horizontal with Fanuc Series oi-Model F Plus ControlsYama Seiki VMC Model BM-1600 with Fanuc 18i-MB ControlsEducation / Physical Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GEDWillingness to operate overhead cranes to load and unload machineMust be able to complete and pass a physical assessmentMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodationEvery day repetitive wrist, finger, or hand movement including gripping and wrist torqueingEvery day standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stoopingEvery day lifting 25 to 50 poundsExposure to moving machinery, dust, dirt, and greaseAbility to work in a non-climate control environmentSkills / Qualifications :
5+ years of experience as a machinistStrong drawing reading skills plus an understanding of GD&TDemonstrated safety awareness and training in a manufacturing environmentStrong measuring and inspection skillsMust have an understanding of the different speeds, feeds, and their relation to materialExperienced using hand and power toolsAbility to work in a team environment; strong time management skillsSelf-motivated and able to keep a clean, organized work spaceDuties :
Setup and Operate CNC Machines with Fanuc Controls (G Code)Ability to program and edit programs at the machineAbility to think and plan through the complete machining processSelect and set all toolingMachine, deburr, and inspect parts to drawing specsAbility to machine on a wide variety of materials such as stainless, carbon, aluminum, and exotic metals in the forms of forgings, bar stock, castings, plate or weldmentsAbility to setup and verify allowances and machine complex weldmentsAbility to take direction and constructive criticismsBenefits :
