Traffic Control Trainer

Responsibilities :

• Develop and deliver comprehensive traffic control training programs aligned with NCDOT standards and industry best practices.
• Conduct classroom and field training sessions for a diverse audience, including new hires and experienced professionals.
• Create and maintain engaging training materials, including presentations, manuals, and job aids.
• Assess trainee performance and provide constructive feedback to improve knowledge and skills.
• Stay current with the latest traffic control regulations, standards, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and safety officers to identify training needs and develop customized solutions.
• Travel to various project sites and attend industry conferences to represent the company and promote safety.

Qualifications :

• Strong understanding of NCDOT traffic control standards and regulations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to teach and train a diverse audience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to travel as needed
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications :

• Previous experience as a traffic control flagger or supervisor
• Certification in traffic control safety
• Experience developing and delivering training programs
