Job Description

Traffic Control Foreman

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Traffic Control Foreman provides management for traffic control crew and their materials and equipment, ensuring specifications are followed and work proceeds on schedule. Assists in supervising, leading, assigning, participating in, and inspecting the work of crews involved in all aspects of traffic control (e.g., road striping, pavement marking, and fabrication / installation of temporary and permanent signs and traffic control devices).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Create and complete a job safety analysis every morning to address safety concerns and ensure employees work safely.
• Oversee crew activities efficiently.
• Supervise, manage, and direct training, development, appraisal and work assignments of crew members.
• Understand project plans for specific duties.
• Comprehend blueprints and specifications.
• Manage tools, materials and supplies.
• Manage equipment utilization.
• Provide immediate response to site production issues.
• Report crew hours worked and code time accurately on daily timesheets.
• Perform tasks that enhance the operations of the company.
• Install and maintain project traffic control devices and measures according to project documents.
• Record and maintain periodic documentation of traffic devices and repairs as per Webber policy.
