Wealth Management Solutions Products Risk Manager
The Wealth Management Solutions (WMS) Products Risk Manager will assist, oversee, and influence business partners and senior business leaders for WMS Products (e.g. mutual fund, 529 plans, alternative investments, capital markets and structured products) and / or larger scope initiatives to ensure that adequate compliance policies and procedures are developed, implemented and maintained. Responsibilities include policy, controls, and risk initiative oversight and management, product compliance and supervisory activities (WSP, SOX, PPASP, etc.), as well as participating in projects or other initiatives to drive the business agenda. This role will work with internal cross-organizational business partners, as well as external product firms to perform their product management and oversight functions.
Key Responsibilities
Work with business partners and senior leaders to ensure that adequate compliance and risk policies and procedures are developed and implemented
Understand applicable laws and regulations, analyze their effect on business practices, and work with the General Counsel Office (GCO), Compliance and Operational Risk areas as needed to clarify requirements and address related issues.
Maintain current knowledge of industry practices and developments. Escalate issues and maintain records, as required or appropriate. Take action within authority or review with leader / GCO Compliance / Operational Risk groups prior to taking action.
Support and Manage WMS Product compliance and risk initiatives. Provide coaching / training and actively partner with product and relationship management, due diligence, and IRG on WMS products appropriate business partners and leaders with respect to key business initiatives. Spot trends and influence change.
Participate in cross organizational initiatives representing WMS Products as subject matter expert.
Coordinate and support timely responses to regulatory, internal or external audit, or risk and compliance testing requests.
Take action within authority or review with leader prior to taking action.
Lead complex and non-routine issue resolution with internal / external partners.
Identify and recommend changes to policies, procedures and reporting.
Perform as the business SME or lead on small to medium size projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
5+ years of relevant experience
Understanding of the regulations and laws that impact the assigned line of business
Analytical, problem-solving, and synthesizing skills
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong communication skills
Active Series 7
Active Series 24
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Mutual Funds, 529 Plans, Alternative Investments, Capital Markets, and Structured Products.
The role serves as a Subject Matter Expert and / or RP for required field training, and must demonstrate strong expertise in applying Reg BI, compliance, and risk management practices.
A solid grasp of the regulatory environment, particularly as it pertains to complex products, is essential., or the ability to quickly learn them.

The estimated base salary for this role is $81,700-105,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and / or long-term incentives depending on the role.
