Travel Registered Dietitian – Newport News, VA

13-Week Contract | Day Shift | 5x8s

HumanEdge Health is actively hiring an experienced Registered Dietitian for a 13-week travel assignment in Newport News, Virginia . This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive clinical team and provide critical nutritional care in an acute setting.

Position Highlights :

Develop, implement, and monitor Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)

Complete initial nutrition assessments and follow-up evaluations

Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition plans in collaboration with pharmacy and physicians

Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, including wound care and vent weaning teams

Educate patients, families, and clinical staff on diet, supplementation, and therapeutic nutrition

Conduct tray audits, menu planning, and ensure food service compliance with care plans

Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance efforts

Maintain detailed documentation and patient records in compliance with facility standards

Requirements :

Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and VA licensure (or eligibility)

Experience in acute or long-term acute care settings preferred

Strong clinical skills in medical nutrition therapy, critical care, and enteral / parenteral nutrition

Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Ability to work full-time, (5x8s), day shift
