VP, Market Access & Value-Based Partnerships

Role Overview

The VP of Market Access & Value-Based Partnerships will lead Rune Labs' market access strategy and execution, focusing on expanding our successful value-based care model to new integrated delivery networks, Medicare Advantage plans, and ACOs. This role will also explore and develop alternative payment models, including direct-to-consumer channels, to accelerate adoption of our StrivePD platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive market access strategy across payer segments
  • Lead pricing and contracting strategy for different customer segments and payment models
  • Build and lead a high-performing market access team
  • Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team
  • Value-Based Care Expansion : leverage Kaiser Permanente results to develop compelling value propositions for integrated health systems and risk-bearing entities; structure and negotiate value-based contracts with healthcare organizations; design innovative risk-sharing models that align with customer needs and Rune Labs' capabilities; develop frameworks for measuring and reporting on value-based care outcomes
  • Market Access Innovation : identify and develop new market access channels, including direct-to-consumer strategies; create pricing models that work across different payment types (value-based, fee-for-service, cash pay); partner with product and clinical teams to ensure market access requirements are reflected in the product roadmap and evidence generation
  • Stakeholder Management : build relationships with key decision makers at target healthcare organizations; work with government affairs on policy initiatives; collaborate with marketing to develop market access materials and value propositions; partner with finance on pricing models and revenue forecasting

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in healthcare market access, with at least 5 years focused on value-based care models
  • Proven track record structuring and implementing risk-sharing agreements with health systems
  • Deep understanding of Medicare Advantage and ACO payment models
  • Experience launching and scaling digital health or therapeutic products
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to build financial models for various payment structures
  • Excellence in executive-level communications and presentations
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred
  • Possess current U.S. work authorization
  • Desired Experience

  • Background working with movement disorder or neurology products / services
  • Experience with direct-to-consumer healthcare business models
  • Knowledge of Parkinson's disease care delivery and economics
  • Track record of working with both regional and national health plans
  • Understanding of digital health reimbursement landscape
  • Experience building and leading market access teams
  • Success Metrics

  • First 12 Months : Launch 3+ new value-based care partnerships with integrated delivery networks or MA plans; develop standardized contract templates and pricing models; build initial market access team; create a reporting framework for value-based care outcomes
  • Long-term : Scale value-based care partnerships to cover 100,000+ lives; demonstrate replicable cost savings across partner organizations; establish Rune Labs as the standard of care for Parkinson's disease management
