About the Team :

The Avionics team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Terran Rs nervous system designing building testing installing and operating the hardware that connects and controls every major electrical system on the vehicle and ground. The team leverages close partnership between avionics design manufacturing and test to enable rapid iteration and feedback loops. Engineers are deeply embedded into other functions within Relativity working closely with propulsion GNC fluids and stage engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operation. About the Role :

• Lead a team of 5-10 mechanical design engineers through design analysis and test of avionics enclosures and secondary structure
• Set team priorities and drive execution in alignment with the development schedule
• Define best practices for avionics mechanical design to ensure the reliability and survivability of sensitive electronics in harsh environments
• Partner with electrical engineering design team to define component placement and evaluate thermal performance and vibration survivability
• Partner with analysis and design teams on structural dynamic and thermal evaluations
