Virtual Math / Reading Tutor

Cignition is seeking dedicated K-12 virtual tutors to join our team.

As a Cignition tutor, you will play a pivotal role in providing one-to-one and small group (up to 4 : 1) tutoring sessions, focusing on mathematics and / or English Language Arts.

Working directly with our experienced Program Management team, composed of former classroom educators and education experts, you will facilitate engaging and interactive tutoring sessions to foster student-to-student interaction and build deep conceptual understanding.

Cignition works with you to provide online tutoring sessions that match your schedule and tutoring interests.

We provide tutors with instructional resources and our unique system aggregates detailed topic and concept-level data collected through student activities.

Each session begins with tutors receiving a rich profile for each student from which to best understand their needs.

Our Model for our Programs : Part-time role typically up to 6 hours per week (no set minimum / maximum) 30-60 minute recurring session windows, 3 times per week Our programs have an expectation that tutors work with the same small groups each week as relationships are crucial to student learning We are currently looking for candidates who have availability between 2 : 45 pm–4 : 40 pm PT / 5 : 45 pm–7 : 40 pm ET on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from February 2, 2026, to May 15, 2026.

Cignition’s school district clients determine the tutoring schedules and provide student rosters.

Benefits and Pay Range : Work with a highly-experienced and supportive Program Management team Access to a comprehensive digital curriculum library Training provided to ensure effective use of internal resources Total compensation equivalent to $35 / hour for this assignment Tutors are paid a base rate of $25 / hour throughout the program.

At the end of the assignment, tutors receive an end-of-program bonus that brings their total compensation for hours worked to the equivalent of $35 / hour for this assignment The bonus is paid after the assignment concludes and is contingent upon completing this assignment through May 15, 2026 Additional assignments in other programs may be available at the $25 / hour pay rate, with no bonus
