$23-$29+ per hour, based on experience Job Summary : Oversee production and production employees on the production floor. This is accomplished by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising results; conducting training; implementing enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Summary of Essential Job Functions : 40 hour / 5 days per week minimum. Weekend work required to meet production demands. Computer literate. Must be able to learn and use JobBoss, Visual Shop, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and all applicable forms. Reading drawings and technical documents. Recommending cost-cutting methods to increase profitability. Communicate with other departments and engineers to resolve issues. Maintain and audit shop supply inventory (ex. tooling, masking, chemistry, bags, paper). Coordinate and oversee the completion of the daily schedule for production. Read and verify completed work orders for accuracy. Forward complete work orders to Scheduling. Supervises workers and coordinates activities engaged on the shop floor. Closely audits and inspects floor employees’ work to ensure conformance of floor work instructions and procedures. Trains new floor employees. Identify each individual’s strengths and weaknesses. Place them on the production floor accordingly. Advise management on staffing needs based off of production needs. Fills out employee performance reviews (performance competencies, rework, & supervisor comments section). Tracks production on the shop floor and production line. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending action. Responsible for notifying Scheduling of any issues meeting scheduled commitments. Responsible for notifying maintenance of equipment break downs. Scheduling and coordinating weekend work and overtime. Coordinate and approve floor employee vacations.
