Job description2+ years of experience in SPID / S3D Process or Piping Design (onsite or design office). Experience developing and modifying existing drawings or designs to improve system performance. Strong understanding of process and mechanical system design workflows. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Piping Designer (SPID / S3D)
Location : Indianapolis, IN
Duration : 12-Month Contract
Schedule : Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Position Summary :
The Piping Designer will assist the Piping Project Lead in preparing lists, progress reports, and design deliverables directly from SPID / S3D. This role requires hands-on experience developing and modifying SPID / S3D models for process and mechanical systems, ensuring data integrity between software platforms, and maintaining accurate design documentation. Candidates from any industry with relevant SPID / S3D experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in preparation of lists and progress reports directly from SPID / S3D as required.
- Develop and modify SPID / S3D models and data for process and mechanical systems.
- Draft, design, and redline P&IDs / AF&IDs within SPID software and ensure correlation with S3D.
- Generate reports from SPID / S3D software to support project tracking and progress updates.
- Collaborate with the Piping Project Lead to maintain design accuracy, documentation, and schedule alignment.
