SUMMARY :
Second Shift Machine Operator
3 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM
$23.00 Hr. + 15% shift differential
Reporting directly to the Machining Manager, the primary role is to produce machined parts by operating a CNC machine; maintaining quality using precision instruments and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Previous experience on a CNC router or other manufacturing equipment is a plus but training will be provided for any equipment or needed skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Plans production by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and specifications.
- Loads feed mechanism by carting stock into position.
- Producing quality parts according to blueprints and company quality standards.
- Maintains specifications by milling, drilling, grooving and cutting, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; trouble shooting processes, identifying and sharpening / replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements
- Ensure all safety guidelines at all times and maintains a clean environment.
- Able to use precision equipment to measure and maintain specifications (tape measure, scale, caliper, micrometer, etc.)
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for needed repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
