If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be inactive for six months. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the prior health system within the past year. Unit is a telemetry unit with 49 beds and a nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 5. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS. Common diagnoses include CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI issues, diabetes, telemetry cases, post-cath patients, and total joint replacements. RNs are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign off at least once per shift. There are nurse aides on the unit with a ratio of 1 : 10-15. Available equipment includes BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments. Shifts are scheduled for four weeks using self-scheduling but may be adjusted by the manager. Weekend requirements include working two weekends per four-week schedule. Holiday requirements include working two days and either the eve or two eves and one day for specified holidays. Floating may occur, with potential movement to other areas if qualified. Scrub color is navy blue. Charting is done using Cerner. The contract includes a cancellation policy of four shifts for contracts of 13 weeks or more.
