Job Summary
The COO will be a strategic leader and hands-on operator, responsible for overseeing all daily operations and ensuring that our projects are executed efficiently, profitably, and safely. This role requires someone who thrives on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement a detailed-oriented leader who can balance people, process, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all field and office operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads (project management, estimating, safety, accounting, HR).
- Implement operational systems, KPIs, and performance metrics to improve project execution and profitability.
- Collaborate with the CEO on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and long-term business objectives.
- Drive company culture focused on teamwork, communication, safety, and operational excellence.
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation across projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contract obligations.
- Foster relationships with key clients, subcontractors, and partners.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Chief Operating Officer, preferably with a Construction company. COOs in a manufacturing or large system installations company will be considered provided they have a good grasp of construction processes and terminology.Proven success leading teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.Strong financial and analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset.Good understanding of construction operations is preferred, project delivery, and process optimization.Exceptional communication and leadership skills able to inspire and motivate across all levels.Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred.Work Environment
Primarily office-based with occasional site and client visits.
