Clinical Pharmacist Lead

Our dynamic team at St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced pharmacist to join their team! This IV room Lead role will oversee the sterile compounding space, addressing work-flow needs, and supporting staff in the IV space. This is a great opportunity to advance your clinical and leadership skills.

Our outstanding team of pharmacists and technicians prepare and dispense medication therapies for our pediatric patient population. In this role, you would interact with a number of specialties, including neonatal ICU, pediatric ICU, cardiac critical care and oncology. Pharmacists use state of the art computer systems and technology to provide patient care, and respond to and participate in emergency code / trauma events.

Role Purpose

Assess, monitor, initiate, and modify medication use according to patient condition and age specific criteria. Serves as a liaison between the pharmacy department and other health care practitioners in matters related to specialized area of pharmacy practice. Supervises and directs supportive personnel. Counsels and educates to promote optimal drug therapy. Directs and assists in the procurement, storage, distribution and disposal of medications.
