Our client, a leading organization in the gaming industry, is seeking a Concept Artist II to join their creative team. As a Concept Artist II, you will be part of the Art Department supporting the Game Development Team. The ideal candidate will have creativity, collaboration skills, and a passion for innovative visual storytelling, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title : Lead Concept Artist
Location : Remote
Pay Range : 60-70 / hr
This will be a short term contract with possibility of extension based on personal performance and project needs. All applicants must have video game industry experience, preferably with racing games. Some experience with VR platforms is a big plus.

What's the Job?
Work with the concept team, art, and game direction to establish art style and tone guides and create inspiring mood pieces, gameplay and character ideation, sketches, and color key scripts
Collaborate with other art and design disciplines to help steer initial conceptual direction into compelling visual and game experiences throughout development, including more detailed production callouts and reference and mood boards
Provide feedback and mentorship to other concept artists on the team, supporting both creative vision and professional growth
Help expand the capabilities of the concept team through training, process refinement, and team building
Assist in candidate recruiting and hiring to strengthen the team's talent pool
What's Needed?
3-5 years of industry experience as a concept artist
Portfolio demonstrating conceptual design fundamentals and versatility in rapid ideation sketching and production paintings
Strong foundational art knowledge in form, value, color, proportion, anatomy, and scale
Excellent communication skills with experience giving and receiving creative critique
Familiarity with game development processes and workflows
