We are immediately hiring a SALES PROFESSIONAL to drive new and existing business through the NEW YORK METRO territory. The preferred home base location of WESTCHESTER / SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT is advantageous. You will have a proven record of winning and developing business with commercial contractors, installers, specifiers, architects, and other key influencers within the flooring or tiling installation industries.

This is a field sales position with daily territory travel including some overnight. Compensation : $80-$120k (base + commission + bonus).

Responsibilities :

  • Drive Sales Growth of ARDEX and Henry products
  • Generate Leads and win new business opportunities
  • Promote Products through hands-on demonstrations, presentations, and professional displays
  • Build Relationships with partner distributors, specialist flooring / tiling contractors, general contractors, architects, and key business influencers.
  • Field Service & Support including job start assistance, bid preparation, and distributor / installer training
  • Technical Expertise and technical recommendations, liaising with our technical team for resources and solutions
  • Achieve Targets and exceed goals
  • Collaborate with corporate resources (Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics) to deliver exceptional service to ARDEX customers
  • Exceptional Standards - represent ARDEX as the industry leader for exemplary professional standards and a 'customer first' approach.

Sales Territory :

New York Metro Team territory includes :

  • The State of Connecticut
  • Metropolitan New York including New York City (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island)
  • Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk counties)
  • New York State counties : Westchester, Orange, and Rocklan
  • New Jersey counties : Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, and Warren
  • Preferred home base : Westchester / Southern Connecticut

    What you'll bring to ARDEX

  • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience is essential. Knowledge of flooring or tiling installation systems is required.
  • Technical proficiency and familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements is essential.
  • High levels of business integrity, ethics and good professional judgement
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for the industry. Solution driven and customer focused
  • Must be able to conduct product presentations and demonstrations confidently and professionally
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel daily throughout assigned territory, including some overnight.
  • Able to operate non power and power tools. Good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
  • Able to lift to 70 pounds on occasion, with a carrying capability of 55 pounds.
  • Four (4) year college degree is preferred, or minimum completed high school diploma with relevant industry work experience.
