Job Description

As a Senior Roadway Design Engineer at Parsons , you will lead and manage the design and development of roadway projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and adhere to industry standards. You will work on a variety of projects, including urban and rural roadways, highways, and interstate systems. In this role you will complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying transportation engineering techniques and analyses within roadway and geometric design on a variety of exciting and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of roadway projects, including concept, preliminary and final design, alignment, grading, and pavement design.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including AASHTO, FHWA, and state DOT requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project reviews.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range : $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
