Responsibilities Position based in a high acuity float pool covering ICU, Critical Care, Observation, Med Surg, multiple surgical units, Neuro, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Acute care hospital setting with a wide range of medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac patient populations Patient assignments typically 1-2 depending on acuity, may be up to 1-3 for lower acuity or transfer patients RNs are first to float as needed across various units Night shifts with self-scheduling available and three weekend shifts per schedule No call or standby requirements Uses Cerner EMR system; training and validation provided Philips monitoring equipment in use with monitor tech support; RNs are required to read strips RNs will care for complex medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac patients Unit provides standard AACN CCU staffing and support with charge nurses and nurse aids available Two-shift orientation provided in the ICU with additional hospital-wide orientation and Cerner EMR training Royal blue scrubs are required for this position Holiday coverage is expected as part of the schedule First time travelers are considered Returning candidates must not have been employed by the health system in the past year Requirements Active WA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, high acuity preferred Ability to titrate critical care drips including Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, and CIS Experience with ventilators, high flow oxygen, BiPAP, and CPAP equipment Ability to float to a variety of acute care units as needed Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630373.
