Qualifications :
- Experience with testing of electromechanical and / or fluidic systems
- Experience writing test protocols and reports
- Experience with commonly used electronic test equipment, such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and data acquisition systems
- Ability to work with other functions and facilitate activities from a systems and integration perspective
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail, systematic problem solving skills, and a strong desire to learn and acquire new skills and knowledge with a strong bias for action
- Working knowledge of international standards applicable to medical devices, including ISO13485, ISO14971, and IEC60601 desired
- Experience with medical devices and in regulated environments preferred
- Familiarity with materials used in medical devices (best practices, biocompatibility) preferred
- Experience in modeling, simulations, and sensitivity analyses desired
- Experience with SolidWorks is desired
- Experience with LabView is desired
- Experience with reliability engineering and analysis techniques, including data acquisition, analysis, design of experiments (DOE) and statistical methods preferred
Responsibilities :
Generate and execute testing protocols for electromechanical fluid delivery systemsSpecify, develop, and implement test systems and / or test equipment to complete necessary test activitiesDevelop robust test methods and design test fixtures to ensure that selected materials and designs are accurately evaluated against the specification and requirementsPerform parametric analyses to understand design tradeoffsConceptualize and communicate key elements of experimental design and resultsAnalyze system requirements to determine testability, completeness and consistencyAssemble and evaluate rapid prototype models in order to assess technical feasibility of various solutionsSupport staff and quality engineers during troubleshooting and root cause analysisFrequently use and apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques as they relate to the test processThe candidate will design and develop methods and fixtures for product assembly, testing, and inspection of medical device components, working closely with a dedicated cross-functional project team. The candidate must be aware of and follow Corporate and Divisional Quality systems and comply with all regulatory and safety guidelines.
