Wieland currently has an immediate need for a Tool & Die Technician to handle tasks associated with tooling maintenance, die set assembly, and modifications on stamping related processes - as well as performing preventative and predictive maintenance on these systems. This role will sit in Wieland's East Alton, IL facility.

Starting Pay : $44.81 / hr. to $44.81 / hr.

Schedule : Rotating / Swinging

Pay Schedule : Bi-weekly

Responsibilities

Tool & Die Technician Responsibilities :

• Responsible for setting up and configuring stamping presses with the appropriate dies and tooling, ensuring proper material feed, and performing quality checks to produce accurate metal components according to production specifications, while maintaining a safe working environment.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned including completion of work order documentation and data entry into the computerized maintenance system
• Work together with, and sometimes, lead the operating crew to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
• Responsible for deciding how a mechanical repair is to proceed and will perform quality repairs timely and accurately.
• Work with the production team to constantly improve production and maintenance processes.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on the stamping presses, including lubrication, cleaning, and checking for wear and tear.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and report more complex issues to maintenance supervision.
• Complete assigned tasks associated with tooling maintenance, die set assembly, and modifications on stamping-related processes; including preventative and predictive maintenance on these systems.
