Responsibilities Work in a hospital pediatric unit with a Level 2 pediatric trauma center Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 7 : 00-19 : 30 Every other weekend and holiday required No call required Float to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as needed All pediatric diagnoses with exposure to a variety of pediatric subspecialties Six rooms designated for oncology patients, though chemotherapy administration is not required Utilizes Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR) and AIDET communication protocols Must perform hourly rounding and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service using AIDET Team structure includes access to a sedation service for procedures Hospital supports a collaborative environment across multiple pediatric specialties Holiday coverage is required with a limit of one holiday RTO request if multiple holidays occur during the assignment Scrub color or dress code will be provided prior to start Modules and orientation required, with up to 8 hours billable for module completion Returning employees who have worked at the facility as a traveler for more than one year must observe a minimum one year break before returning Requirements Active WI or compact state RN license Minimum 2 years of pediatric RN experience Current AHA BLS and PALS certifications required prior to start Experience with off-floor procedures such as sedation, LP, BM, line placement, imaging, and GI procedures preferred APHON certification appreciated but not required Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor Candidates must not reside within a 60 mile radius of the facility First-time travelers accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626108.
