Research Associate II - Chute Lab - Division of Hematology & Cellular Therapy / Medicine

You can continue your career journey with us! The Chute laboratory studies hematopoietic stem cells and the regulation of hematopoietic stem cell fate through the microenvironment, or niche. Our laboratory also studies the mechanisms that govern malignant transformation of hematopoietic stem cells to leukemia stem cells. The Research Associate II works closely with Principal Investigator, and will perform routine and increasingly complex laboratory tasks and procedures and develops technical expertise in one or more areas relevant to research projects. Primary Duties and Responsibilities : Keeps accurate and detailed records of experiments and results Assists in identifying and troubleshooting of unexpected results Orders laboratory supplies and supports laboratory operations Maintains lab equipment and related records and may coordinate use of lab equipment Assists in the operation of specialized equipment, as the need arises Assists in preparation of data for publication and / or presentation at scholarly meetings Observes and follows safety standards and procedures Orients research laboratory assistants or lower level research associates and undergraduate student researchers on day-today lab operations and routine procedures. Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree in a Science related field required Experience and Skills : One year of research laboratory experience is required. Experience with routine laboratory procedures and experimental protocols. Must possess digital literacy to include, but not limited to, Excel and Word.
