IT Support Technician (Entry Level)

Experience: 6+ months (required)

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

About the Role

We’re looking for an entry-level Support Technician who has at least 6 months of technical support experience. This role is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, eager to learn, and ready to grow in the IT field.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot issues related to:Windows OS and basic Mac supportPassword resets, account lockouts, MFAPrinters, network connectivity, and common desktop software
• Accurately log, track, and document support requests.
• Escalate more complex issues to Tier 2 support when needed.
• Follow standardized processes, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting scripts.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and communication.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ months of IT support experience (help desk, service desk, technical support, internships or similar).
• Basic understanding of:Microsoft WindowsOffice 365 applicationsNetworking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• A+ Certification or equivalent (CompTIA A+, Net+, or similar).
• Experience with a ticketing system (ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, etc.).
• Familiarity with Active Directory or Azure AD.
