Responsibilities Position is based in a hospital setting with Level 1 Trauma and teaching designation Work on inpatient Med / Surg and Telemetry units, with units ranging from 20 to 36 beds Patient population includes general medical-surgical and telemetry cases RN patient ratios typically range from 1 : 4 to 1 : 6 12-hour night shifts from 7P to 7A, with a 36-hour work week option Required to float to all Med / Surg and Telemetry units as needed Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis med dispensing, and Phillips monitors No on-call or call-back responsibilities Must work one of the following holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's First-time travelers are welcome to apply Must wear navy scrubs Free parking is available on campus Support staff includes CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, resource nurses, and access to 24 / 7 respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist teams Central telemetry monitoring in use Orientation includes one day of facility modules and two days of departmental training Unit culture is busy and team-oriented Requirements Active GA or compact state RN license required Minimum 2 years of Med / Surg Tele RN experience required BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred; must pass EKG competency exam during onboarding Experience with trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and glucometers Familiarity with insulin and heparin drips, including titration to HR Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-631670.
