The role of the head wrestling coach will be to lead all aspects of the wrestling program. The position is responsible for coaching and providing direction to student-athletes and all assistant coaches within the program. Starts November 17 2025.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Maintains a working knowledge of all district and MHSAA rules governing extracurricular athletics
• Previous high school wrestling coaching preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication preferred
• Ensures proper cleaning maintenance and storage of all program materials including uniforms and mats
• Supervises team in the locker rooms at all home games away games and practices to ensure appropriate behavior
• Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student-athletes at all times
• Works with Athletic Director for all practice and game scheduling
• Ensures medical and safety guidelines are adhered to
• Is punctual for all games and practices
• Conducts him / herself in a professional and courteous manner with all players parents staff officials
• Consults with Athletic Director for all offseason training programs
• Communicates in a timely manner with Athletic Director parents and players
• Emphasizes sportsmanship and promotes academics as a major part of the program
