The Physical Therapist is responsible for managing the needs of the patient in the physical therapy intervention by reviewing, revising, and implementing techniques or discharging physical therapy services as deemed appropriate. Is knowledgeable about evidence in the practitioner's areas of practice and documentation is consistent with the Guidelines for Physical Therapy Documentation (BOD 02-02-16-20). Reports to department leadership.
Practices according to the Code of Ethics of the APTA and complies with all the legal requirements regulating the practice of physical therapy.
Current state licensure as required by laws or regulations.
Knowledge of physical therapy assessment tools, intervention techniques, modalities, and equipment.
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
