The IGNITE Estimating team needs a strong Estimating Lead to support the team. It's an exciting time to be a part of IGNITE. The successful candidate will perform the following job duties :
Develops, plans & schedules proposals for the Commercial Civil Space Line of Business - Orion Program in accordance with estimating policy, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) & Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) requirements, System Requirements & other govt. regulations.
Shapes, develops & matures business case analyses & cost methods resulting in a comprehensive bid / price strategy.
Develops initiatives to increase profitability & cashflow.
Acts as the estimating lead on proposals compiling cost, schedule, & technical elements to develop proposals in accordance with Request For Proposal (RFP) specs.
Coordinates the collection of cost, scheduling, & performance elements from functional departments.
Performs financial modeling & analyses related to major proposals, including rate studies & analysis, business case development, cash flow analysis, and presents analyses & recommendations to leaders.
Researches & analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts & determination of accuracy of functional estimates.
Participates in pricing reviews with mgmt & customer reps.
Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team & interacts with DCAA / other audit agencies.
Initiates process improvements to enhance productivity & efficiency within pricing & estimating functions.
Develops, communicates, & implements Estimating & Pricing policies / procedures, & conducts monitoring & surveillance activities to ensure that the policies / procedures are being thoroughly & consistently implemented.
Possesses comprehensive written & oral communications skills to support proposal development activities, executive proposal reviews, fact-finding & negotiations, & interaction with DCAA / other audit agencies.

Ability to provide training and assistance to team new members
Experience in Pricing or Estimating or Finance or any other Business Operations function.
Desired Skills :
Estimating and / or Finance experience preferred
Knowledge of Pricing & Estimating Tools such as genBOE and / or ProPricer
Ability to provide training and assistance to team new members
Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure
Strong business case analysis skills
Generally has 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.

Ability to Work Remotely : Part-time Remote Telework : The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position : 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate : The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees : accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
