American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Outpatient Speech-Language Pathologist with solid competency in pediatric care and ASHA certification for a hospital-based travel assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an outpatient pediatric setting within a hospitalWorks with pediatric patients, including those with neurologically impaired conditionsTypical cases include speech disorders, language delays, apraxia, stuttering, AAC device needs, social communication disorders, and autism spectrum disorders4x12 hour day shifts, totaling 48 hours per weekMultidisciplinary team environment including OT, PT, ST, and local providersEpic is the EMR used and Epic experience is requiredClient does not accept local candidates and enforces a 50-mile radius restrictionDuties involve assessment, planning, and delivery of rehabilitative treatment to meet communicative needsRegular and predictable attendance is essentialPosition involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary teamMust be competent in meeting the age-specific needs of pediatric patientsCandidate is expected to comply with state licensing requirements\n \n Requirements\n
Master's degree in Speech Pathology is requiredCertification with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) is requiredCurrent State of Idaho Speech-Language Pathologist licensure or temporary SLP Provisional Permit is required (License required if applicable)At least 1 year of experience with pediatric neurologically impaired patient populationExperience with evaluation and treatment of pediatric speech and language disorders, apraxia, stuttering, AAC devices, social communication disorders, and autism spectrum disordersEpic charting experience required\n Benefits\n
