Machine Operator

Qualified Staffing in Cartersville is seeking a Machine Operator to join our client’s team. The Machine Operator is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on production results and materials while ensuring high yield and productivity. This role focuses on implementing and improving manufacturing methods and processes, as well as interacting with team members, customers, and vendors to resolve complex or urgent issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machines to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production.
- Monitor and improve the speed and efficiency of unit manufacturing processes.
- Track production progress by reviewing departmental Key Risk Indicator (KRI) reports.
- Analyze and document production issues (e.g., safety incidents, quality issues, yield loss, equipment malfunctions).
- Inspect semi-finished products to verify compliance with quality and appearance standards.
- Audit and monitor cell manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with regulations and proper handling of malfunctions.
- Identify, report, and prevent quality fluctuations (especially after tool changes).
- Manage production assets, equipment, and budgets related to cell manufacturing processes.
- Maintain and improve production environments using 3R (Right materials, Right quantity, Right position) and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) principles.
- Support and implement countermeasures to prevent safety incidents on the production line.
- Ensure team members receive regular safety training and risk-prevention instruction.
- Manage raw material usage and inventory for production processes.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent field of study.Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.Ability to read and write in English.Physical Requirements
Regular, punctual attendance required.Ability to occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds.Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing and climbing stairs.Ability to work 8–12 hours per day and up to 6–7 days per week depending on operational needs.Protective Equipment
