Hello,

We're immediately hiring 2 Certified Medical Assistants for one of Houston's largest diagnostic imaging health systems! Our positions are a great contract to direct hire opportunity that includes Full Time benefits through Medix!

Must have good medical terminology- managers will ask "What is the difference between a chief complaint vs. HPI" "What is a MRI" etc.

Duties :

• Translating for spanish speaking patients
• Rooming patients
• educating patients on procedures and medication
• setting up for surgeries and procedures
• updating patient info into EMR
• High Patient Volume
• Will be working in several specialties so they will need to be able to multi-task. Clinic is extremely fast paced
• Have a team of 8-10 MAs for each site so they all work together as one unit

Overview :

The MA's are administrative focused, helping the doctors prep the room, prep the patient, collect vitals, triaging the patients (updating medications), share procedure prep guidelines.

Schedule : M-F, 8 : 30-5 : 30 or 9-6. will be 9-6 to start. Saturday rotation shared amongst the MA's. Will need to work 1-2x a month and also have a late clinic 10-7 that is sometimes needing coverage.

Pay : $16 / hr-$19 / hr

Location : West Houston (77043)

3-5 Must Have Skills / Qualifications :

Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred

Typing test results (32 WPM or above, ideally want someone closer to 40's on the typing test.

Certified MA (can be an extern)

MUST clear background check & drug screen prior to start employment
