Salary Range : $110k+ / year
Shift : 1st shift
A well-established food manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead and develop a team of maintenance professionals responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and facilities. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and a focus on continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety and compliance : Ensure full compliance with OSHA, company, and food safety standards, including Lockout / Tagout (LOTO), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and SQF Program requirements.
- Maintenance strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and optimize plant performance.
- Team leadership : Hire, train, coach, and evaluate maintenance technicians to promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Preventive & corrective maintenance : Oversee and prioritize maintenance activities to achieve maximum uptime across all manufacturing equipment.
- Process improvement : Identify opportunities for operational enhancements, cost savings, and efficiency improvements within the maintenance department.
- Recordkeeping : Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance work, including work orders, equipment histories, and preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS software.
- Emergency response : Develop and execute contingency plans to address unexpected equipment failures and minimize production disruptions.
- Reporting : Provide regular updates to senior leadership on key performance indicators (KPIs), maintenance metrics, and departmental performance.
- Additional duties : Perform other related tasks as assigned to support plant operations and company objectives.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related technical field (preferred).Proven experience managing maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment.Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, and automation.Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Thorough understanding of OSHA and food safety compliance standards.Physical Demands :
