Pro Talent Group, a division of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client are NOW HIRING a full-time Maintenance Manager near the Indianapolis, Indiana, area!

Salary Range : $110k+ / year

Shift : 1st shift

A well-established food manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead and develop a team of maintenance professionals responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and facilities. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and a focus on continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and compliance : Ensure full compliance with OSHA, company, and food safety standards, including Lockout / Tagout (LOTO), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and SQF Program requirements.
Maintenance strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and optimize plant performance.
Team leadership : Hire, train, coach, and evaluate maintenance technicians to promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
Preventive & corrective maintenance : Oversee and prioritize maintenance activities to achieve maximum uptime across all manufacturing equipment.
Process improvement : Identify opportunities for operational enhancements, cost savings, and efficiency improvements within the maintenance department.
Recordkeeping : Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance work, including work orders, equipment histories, and preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS software.
Emergency response : Develop and execute contingency plans to address unexpected equipment failures and minimize production disruptions.
Reporting : Provide regular updates to senior leadership on key performance indicators (KPIs), maintenance metrics, and departmental performance.
Additional duties : Perform other related tasks as assigned to support plant operations and company objectives.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related technical field (preferred).

Proven experience managing maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment.

Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, and automation.

Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Thorough understanding of OSHA and food safety compliance standards.

Physical Demands :

Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of time.

Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend.

Must possess visual acuity to document company records.

Continuous walking throughout the plant.

Lift up to 50 pounds.
