Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Roswell, NM 88201 (New Mexico nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel RN Contract

Start Date : November 10, 2025

End Date : February 9, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (06 : 30 – 15 : 00)

Hours per Week : 40

Call : Required (nights / weekends)

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,970 - $2,020 per week

Patient Population : Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Unit : Operating Room (4 ORs, daily census ~10)

Charting System : Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active NM or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at submission)

Minimum 5 years of recent Operating Room RN experience

Previous travel nursing experience required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS (all required for OR RN jobs)

Proficiency with Epic charting system

Ability to take call during nights and weekends

Must be able to float to similar units as needed

Locals within 50 miles not accepted

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care to surgical patients

Assist with a variety of surgical procedures, including abdominal / vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, arthroscopy, cataract extraction, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laminectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, total joint replacement, tracheostomy, and more

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams

Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR

Participate in call rotation for nights and weekends

Float to like units as required by the facility

Support patients across all age groups : pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
