Patient Service Rep II

We have an opening for a Patient Services Representative (PSR) at Athena OB / GYN in Horsham, PA with additional locations in Abington / Langhorne, PA. Hours : 6 : 30-3pm (Thurs & Fri), 7-3 : 30 (everyday), 7 : 30-4 (everyday), 8-4 : 30 (everyday), 9 : 30-6 & 10 : 30-7 closing on Mon, Tues and Wed 2-3 closing per month on rotating shifts. Location(s) : Horsham, Abington, Langhorne.

Patient Service Representative II (PSR II) The Patient Service Representative II (PSR II) plays a vital role in delivering a seamless and positive experience for all patients at Axia Women's Health. Serving as both the initial and final point of contact for in-office visitors and incoming callers, the PSR I is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of front-desk responsibilities. This includes scheduling and modifying appointments, responding to patient inquiries, and supporting daily administrative workflows. The PSR II ensures that each patient interaction reflects Axia's commitment to quality, compassion, and efficiency.

Essential Functions include : Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, providing assistance and directing them to the appropriate waiting area; Notifying appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room; Promptly and professionally routing phone calls via direct transfer, paging, voicemail, or redirect as needed; Retrieving and appropriately routing any messages from the answering service; Courteously screening solicitors for relevance to care center's needs; Performing registration functions for new or existing patients and activating patient files; Effectively collecting and recording copayments as required; Collecting and distributing mail accurately and in a timely manner to designated recipients within the care center; Verifying patient insurance eligibility and clearly communicating benefit limitations; Assisting with scheduling patient appointments and follow-up visits; Ensuring accurate and detailed documentation of patient encounters; Providing additional support to patients and medical staff as needed; Working collaboratively with clinical colleagues, management, and other staff to ensure efficient practice operations; Ensuring compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies (including HIPAA & OSHA); Adhering to practice policies, procedures, and protocols; Participating in team meetings and contributing to quality improvement initiatives; Demonstrating commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and values by embodying its principles in daily activities. Uphold high standards of ethical behavior, integrity, and professionalism; Actively contributing to creating a positive work environment that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities include : N / A.

Skills include : Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication; Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment; Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients; Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and patients efficiently; Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment; Highly adaptable and able to adjust to changing priorities and conditions; Willingness to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage at satellite locations, as needed.

Experience and Education include : High School diploma or equivalent required; Medical Receptionist / Patient Service Representative experience preferred, but not required.
