Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required)

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) (preferred)

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN or perioperative nursing experience (preferred)

Additional clinical certifications or specialty training may be required

OR RN Responsibilities

Assess, implement, and evaluate perioperative care for assigned patients under physician direction

Utilize current nursing practices, principles, and techniques in the Operating Room

Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to individualize patient care

Supervise and direct nursing support staff in accordance with hospital standards and policies

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold departmental procedures

Promote patient safety and ensure quality outcomes throughout the surgical process
