This hybrid role blends remote flexibility with in-office collaboration at our Seattle HQ or Vancouver office.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, you'll manage Canadian tax provisions, respond to CRA inquiries, oversee external service providers, and support strategic tax planning. You'll collaborate with U.S. and global tax teams, legal, accounting, and business leadership to ensure compliance and drive optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Canadian federal and provincial tax return preparation and filingPrepare and review income tax provisions and financial disclosuresManage CRA audits and tax controversy strategiesSupport M&A due diligence and tax planning initiativesResearch complex tax issues and draft supporting documentationAdvise stakeholders on tax implications of strategic decisionsContribute to staff development and cross-functional collaborationWhat We're Looking For
CPA or Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant designation7+ years in income tax compliance and financial reportingDeep knowledge of Canadian tax laws and cross-border tax issuesExperience with ASC 740, U.S. GAAP, and SEC standards preferredAdvanced Excel skills; experience with Alteryx, Power BI, OneSource a plusStrong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
