LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Emergency Medicine MD in Galesburg, Illinois, 61401!

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, and features a nights-only schedule with 7pm-7am shifts, totaling 10 shifts per month. The assignment involves working in a trauma setting, providing emergency medical care and performing a variety of standard procedures. Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care in a trauma setting
  • Perform standard intubation and central line placements
  • Conduct joint reductions and procedural sedation
  • Repair lacerations and perform lumbar punctures
  • Manage an average caseload of 2 patients per hour
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed

    • Additional Information

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • ACLS certification required
  • DEA and Illinois state licensure required
  • CSR license required
  • ABEM certification required
  • Must be comfortable with all listed procedures
