Satellite Industries is looking for a hands-on and collaborative Working Production Supervisor to join our team in Cedar Park, TX! This person must be able to work a Monday through Thursday 7am - 6pm schedule. Spanish-speaking a plus!
Who are we? Satellite Industries is the world's largest supplier of products to the portable sanitation industry, which includes portable restrooms, handwash units, consumables, deodorizers, vacuum trucks, unit haulers, restroom , shower, and specialty trailers.
Position Summary :
At our Cedar Park, TX location, the Production Team manufactures deodorizers used alongside our other Satellite products. The Production Supervisor will work hands-on with employees and collaborate with the current Production Supervisor and Production Manager to oversee staff, manage product manufacturing, and organize and monitor workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- In conjunction with the Production Manager, oversee safe practices within the day-to-day activities of the team
- Lead distribution scheduling to maximize output while keeping team on task to meet deadlines ensuring that all policies and guidelines are administered fairly and equitably.
- Track output and efficiencies using KPIs to keep the team on track and profitable
- Drive continuous improvement through 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing programs while ensuring the production staff has information necessary to complete required tasks and quality of product meets Satellite standards
- Work with purchasing to make sure the necessary production materials arrive both on time and accurately
- Ensure the operation of equipment by calling for repairs and offering suggestions on necessary updates to equipment and techniques.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment; educate and supervise personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintain compliance with established policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with employees to effectively guide activities that embody the Satellite culture.
- Remain knowledgeable of required personnel-related guidelines, policies and procedures of the company and act as necessary to ensure their adherence.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
This position supervises all employees, temporary workers, and contractors of the department in conjunction with the Production Manager.
Education and Experience Requirements :
High school diploma / GED2+ years of leadership experience4 years of experience in production of chemicals and packaged products requiredRequired Skills :
