Senior Manager, Software Engineering

A company is looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead backend service re-platforming and ensure operational stability.

Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance in Java development, database schema design, and systems architecture

Lead the re-architecture and migration of backend services to modern cloud-native infrastructure while ensuring 24 / 7 service availability

Manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

8+ years of backend / software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a management role

Proven success in leading large-scale re-platforming or modernization initiatives in production environments

Deep expertise in Java, distributed systems, microservices, and API design

Strong experience with database schema design and cloud-native services

BS / MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
