Building Maintenance Technician

In this role, you'll assist with maintaining the grounds, interior, exterior, and equipment of county-owned and operated facilities. Responsibilities include :

• Ensure the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the building including debris cleaning, maintaining the restrooms, replacing lamps / bulbs, paint touch-ups, etc.
• Inspect buildings and report all unsafe conditions to the Supervisor, test AED batteries, and inspect fire extinguishers.
• Inspect custodial contractors' work, monitor storeroom supplies, and refill.
• Replace the flag and dispose of it properly.
• Assist skilled trades workers with projects / repairs.
• Use of gas-powered pressure washing equipment on building exteriors / hard finishes.
• Minor building maintenance : level / reset pavers on county property to eliminate trip hazards, concrete patchwork / crack filling, etc.
• Complete the proper paperwork for the work order management system.
