Job descriptionPerform lawn care applications for commercial properties with minimal supervision Diagnose insects, diseases, and weed issues Monitor lawn quality Determine best approach to controlling pests Operate equipment including trucks, backpack sprayers, hose reels, and motorized spreaders Safely handle materials and mixes and transport materials safely Attend trainings and acquires all certifications required for the position Prepare equipment and tools for the day’s work Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment Complete paperwork and administrative responsibilities Recognize and communicate opportunities for site improvements and add-on sales Communicate with customers in a courteous and cooperative manner Safely transport crew to worksites; may supervise 1-4 landscape crew members on seasonal projects Instruct crew onsite and delegate responsibilities; train crew members onsite Perform daily tasks including lawn maintenance, edging / mulching, and planting Assist with holiday / snow removal Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record required High School Diploma or GED preferred Sufficient manual dexterity to perform landscape functions using hand and power tools Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stand for long periods of time, and traverse uneven surfaces Must be able to move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds frequently and move weights of up to 100 pounds occasionally Willingness to attend trainings and acquire all certifications required for the position Excellent attendance and reliability Ability to follow directions and solve problems Attention to detail and initiative to get work done
