Position Overview

The Quality Inspector ensures that printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies, electronic assemblies / sub-assemblies, and finished products meet Variosystems’ quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable workmanship criteria (IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620). This role executes in-process and final inspections, records defects in the designated systems (Aegis or inspection log), and supports material traceability and First Article Inspections (FAI). The Quality Inspector collaborates closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to drive timely feedback and rework, helping maintain high levels of product conformity and on-time delivery.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Inspect PCB assemblies per IPC-A-610.
• Inspect electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies for compliance with production work orders and / or Aegis work instructions and customer specifications.
• Inspect completed chassis, modules, and cables per IPC-A-620.
• Identify nonconforming material, apply “Reject” tags, and return items to production for rework; verify rework completion as required.
• Record all defects in Aegis or, if the work order is not present in Aegis, in the inspection log.
• Maintain material traceability in accordance with process and customer requirements.
• Confirm inspection steps in SAP and assist with FAI inspections.
