CT Technologist Position\n\nSchedule Details\n
Full Time 10 : 30am-9 : 00pm, shifts scheduled Monday-Friday\nHoliday rotation schedule\nFlexibility needed for occasional weekend work as needed\n4x10 schedule format\n\nPosition Overview\nCT Tech position requiring ARRT certification, NYS License\nMust have CT and Rad Tech experience\nPerforms technical radiographic assignments\nExercises complex skills, judgement and knowledge of the principles and methods of Radiologic Technology\n\nCore Responsibilities\nPerforms diagnostic radiographic studies as requested\nOperates portable diagnostic radiographic equipment where needed\nPerforms Infection Control according to Universal Precautions\nProvides care to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients\n\nKey Job Duties\nOperates with accuracy : Radiographic, CT, image processors and other related equipment of similar scope and complexity across different modalities\nEvaluates images for quality and demonstrates accuracy of positioning based on procedure guidelines\nProvides clear and concise instructions during procedures to calm and relieve stress for patients\nMaintains competency in two specific modalities\nEnsures that proper radiation protection is used for self, patient and other personnel by use of proper collimation, lead shielding and techniques when applicable\nDemonstrates flexibility in assuming emergency call on weekdays, weekends and holidays in addition to routine hours\nDemonstrates competency in RIS and PACS\nUtilizes system to enter and edit patient exams and charges\nRecords other appropriate data, scanning documents and making notes\nResponsible for the performance of radiographic and CT studies with and / or without IV contrast enhancement, which includes, but not limited to, brain, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, spine, facial, extremities\nFollows NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines\nPerforms required QC activities\n\nWork Environment\nOccupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated\nRequired tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, tissues\n\nRequired Qualifications\nNYS Licensure, BLS & ARRT Certifications - 1 year experience required\nOR C-Arm Experience - 1 year experience requiredAlerion Healthcare Job ID #1795.
