About The Position

Job Title : Client Fetal Ultrasound Technologist

Profession : Clinical-Allied

Specialty : Client Fetal Medicine

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days

Hours per Shift : 40.00

Experience :

Three (3) years of experience performing complex ob / gyn or vascular scans.

Client Fetal Medicine experience required.

Familiarity with fetal echocardiography, MCA (Middle Cerebral Artery) dopplers, and fetal anatomy is essential.

Ability to independently perform fetal echocardiograms and Doppler assessments is required.

Ability to provide ultrasound guidance for amniocentesis and CVS is preferred but not required.

License :

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification is required.

Must be American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered in OB and OB GYN.

Certifications :

Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification is preferred.

Must-Have :

No experience in OB / GYN and no familiarity with fetal echocardiography will disqualify a candidate.

No experience with MCA dopplers is a dealbreaker.

A lack of comfort with fetal anatomy and related procedures will disqualify a candidate.

Description :

Assist the radiologist in performing invasive diagnostic techniques specialized to maternal fetal ultrasound processes.

Provide standardization and training to residents regarding these exams.

Consult with patients and evaluate any contraindications, such as medications and insufficient preparation.

Perform ultrasound procedures under general or direct supervision, as defined by the procedure and / or physician.

Conduct essential maternal-fetal ultrasound examinations, including detailed anatomical evaluations and fetal well-being assessments.

Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and record data for interpretation by a physician.

Assist the supervising physician with invasive procedures as required.

Analyze sonography findings throughout the examination to ensure a comprehensive exam is completed.

Recognize abnormalities that require the direct observation of the real-time scan by the radiologist.

Advise the radiologist and / or referring provider of examination results and provide preliminary information regarding diagnostic evaluations.
